The Town of Kernersville is active in preparing and implementing growth management plans. In 1997, the community completed a strategic plan, Kernersville Vision 2020 . That vision called for drafting growth management plans to assist in achieving the community goals of maintaining Kernersville's “small town atmosphere” and creating Kernersville as a “unique high quality community within the Triad”.
