Personal safety and the safety of loved ones is a top priority for most people. Town leaders recognize that fact and make public safety one of their top priorities. Nearly one half of the Town’s annual operating budget is spent on providing a safe community for those who live, work and play in Kernersville. 

To meet the safety needs of the community, the Town of Kernersville provides its citizens full service police and fire rescue; staffed with highly trained professionals who serve the community 24 hours a day. 

The Kernersville Fire Rescue Department provides fire protection, hazardous condition mitigation, basic emergency medical response and rescue services. Advanced emergency medical care and patient transport is provided by Forsyth County’s Emergency Medical Service.  The Police Department is a full service municipal police agency.
