The Stormwater / Environmental Division of the Engineering Department assists residents with drainage concerns related to stormwater and streams in the public right-of-way. The division handles enforcement for illegal stormwater discharges as specified in the Unified Development Ordinance and conducts inspections of stormwater infrastructure. This division conducts public education on local environmental issues at events like the Spring Folly and Honey Bee Festival. The Division also conducts internal training and guidance for other departments on spill prevention and good housekeeping measures to keep pollutants out of local waters.
