Fourth
of July Park
and
the
Kernersville Skate Park
702
W. Mountain St.
Kernersville,
NC 27284

Fourth of July Park is a unique blend of old and new.
The Historic Schoolhouse and dedicated trees are what makes
this park special. The meandering creek is perfect to
cool off in during the hot months and provides a relaxing
background for a picnic. It is spanned by two observation
areas that are part of a half-mile
walking trail. Not only is there a skate park that
entertains skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers, there
is an outdoor classroom that is perfect for many venues, two
newly surfaced basketball courts and four beautiful tennis
courts. There is a centrally located restroom facility
and three large shelters with charcoal grills. There
is a small playground in the woods near Shelter #3 and a two-tier
playground village between Shelters #1 and #2. In addition
to those facilities, you will also find seven individual picnic
sites that will easily seat a family of four for the impulsive,
last-minute outing and never need a reservation since they
are always first-come, first-serve. We hope you will
enjoy this mixture of yesterday and today as much as we enjoy
being a part of it.
